Draft Prospect Admits He Is A ‘Birds Aren’t Real’ Truther At NFL Combine
This week during the Combine, NFL draft prospect, tight end Tip Reiman, admitted what everyone knows by now, but aren’t willing to admit it: birds aren’t real.
For those unfamiliar, the birds aren’t real conspiracy theory jokingly claims that birds are actually drones operated by the United States government to spy on American citizens.
It claims that the United States government exterminated around 12 billion birds and replaced them with drones. Now 95 percent of all birds in the U.S. are drones with the exception of a few that wander in from other countries. (Trump’s wall was supposed to put an end to that happening though.)
While it is meant as a joke, it’s actually not so far-fetched.
In a paper published last year, scientists at New Mexico Tech discussed working on a project that involves turning stuffed dead birds into flapping-wing drones that can be used to spy on people and animals.
The last time we saw the University of Illinois product his new Riddell Axion helmet wasn’t cooperating with him. Despite that issue, he did go on to catch 19 passes for 203 yards and three touchdowns for the Fighting Illini in 2023.
Now, apparently, Tip Reiman is one of those people that is a believer that birds being made into drones has already happened as he asked reporters birds aren’t real questions this week at the NFL Combine.
“Have you ever seen a baby pigeon?” the 22-year-old Reiman asked, according to college scout Owen Riese. “How do we know that power lines aren’t pigeon recharging stations?”
Many fans appreciated Reiman’s honesty and/or humor.

“Birds aren’t real though, he is right,” someone on X agreed.
“Glad to see the @birdsarentreal movement is going mainstream,” another person wrote.

Strangely, Reiman’s take wasn’t even the most bizarre one seen at the NFL Combine this week.
Texas Tech linebacker Tyler Owens admitted that he doesn’t believe in “space and other planets” and that flat-Earth truthers might be on to something. He, on the other hand, appeared to be dead serious.
