Rick Pitino is not happy with the current state of the United States. Especially when it comes to politics.
How do we know? He decided to announce his concerns without any context on X!
Pitino, in his first year at St. John’s, is off to a 1-1 during the final chapter of his career after beating Stony Brook in the season-opener and losing to Michigan at Madison Square Garden. The Red Storm will play next as part of the Charleston Classic on Thursday afternoon.
As they prepared to face North Texas in the first round, their head coach needed a break from college basketball after the first loss of the season. Rather than putting on a movie or going for a walk, Pitino turned to politics for a distraction.
He, apparently, did not like what he found. Pitino dropped a completely random post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

No further explanation was given. That was the full extent of what Pitino had to say.
The edit seems entirely unnecessary. It actually made his post more confusing than it was prior to the edit and begs the question of why he decided to make such a minor change.
Whatever triggered Pitino to the point of posting on social media must have really made him angry. He has never been one to shy away from speaking his mind on any topic, but rarely — if ever — does he get political online.
Although Pitino stayed neutral here and jabbed at both sides of the aisle, the timing and lack of context makes it all very random. Meanwhile, his team was less than one day out from its third game of the season. It certainly seems like the political commentary could have been kept internal.
Oh well, the willingness to let loose is what makes Rick Pitino so great. He’s just going to do him!
