Suns Interested In Trade For Bojan Bogdanovic
After the Utah Jazz traded Donovan Mitchell to the Cleveland Cavaliers, other NBA teams have started circling the veterans on Utah's roster. The Phoenix Suns have interest in Bojan Bogdanovic, in particular.
Most expect Utah to trade some combination of Bogdanovic, Mike Conley, Jordan Clarkson, Rudy Gay and Malik Beasley. The Jazz are clearly rebuilding after dealing away Mitchell and Gobert this summer. That leaves them with little need for the veterans remaining on their roster.
Bogdanovic is coming off another productive season. The veteran forward averaged 18.1 points on 45/39/86 shooting splits. The Suns have looked at various ways to add depth around a very solid starting group. Bogdanovic is on an expiring $19.5 million contract, which would leave Phoenix without any long-term salary obligations beyond this season.
