Cavaliers Sign RJ Nembhard to Two-Way Contract
The Cleveland Cavaliers have re-signed guard R.J. Nembhard to a Two-Way contract. Nembhard was recently waived from his standard deal with Cleveland to create room for the team to sign Moses Brown to a standard deal.
Nembhard had seen his original Two-Way deal with the Cavs converted to a standard one, as a reward for his solid effort this season. Then, with Jarrett Allen's availability in doubt for the postseason, Cleveland needed another center. That necessitated waiving Nembhard to create room to sign Brown.
Two-Way players are not eligible to play in the postseason. This includes both the Play-In Tournament and the NBA Playoffs.
