LeBron James Moves Into Second On All-Time Scoring List

Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James has moved into second on the NBA's All-Time scoring list. James passed Karl Malone during Saturday's loss to the Washington Wizards.

James is now 1,440 points behind Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for the top spot in career points. If James were to hit his career-average of 27.1 points per game, he'd pass Abdul-Jabbar midway through next season.

This season, James has averaged 29.8 points per game. That's the third-highest average of his career. In 2007-08, James led the NBA at 30 points per game. In 2005-06, James averaged a career-best 31.4 points.

As far as passing Abdul-Jabbar goes, James says he's not focused on that.

"I will not allow myself to think about it," James said. "I've always just played the game the way I've been playing it over the years, and these things have just happened organically by just going out and playing the game the right way. Hope to accomplish that at some point in my career, but I won't think about it too much."
