LeBron James Misses Game Due To 'Significant' Soreness In Left Knee

LeBron James sat out the Los Angeles Lakers' loss at the San Antonio Spurs due to "significant" soreness in his left knee.

James last played on Saturday when he scored 56 points against the Golden State Warriors.

James previously missed five games because of his knee beginning in January, but hadn't missed any games once he returned.

"With the heavy load that he's carrying for us this year, we know that it's always a possibility," Frank Vogel said. "I think that's why we continue to list him as questionable to see how it's responding over the 48 hours between games. And this is just one of those days where it was significant enough to hold him out."

Vogel said the Lakers are "hopeful" James will play Wednesday in Houston.
