It’s an absolutely terrifying situation to be in. You go to let your dogs out of the house and as they’re making their way for the door, something lunges at them. You don’t know what it is. You don’t know if they’ll be able to get away. All you know is your pets are in danger.
That’s the situation one man found himself in this week.
This video is really something to behold. Many people in this situation would freeze. This guy didn’t. His dogs were running right into a bear attack and he sprung into action.
Really, we need to take a second to appreciate the action he takes. This man saw his dogs in trouble and turned into Khabib Nurmagomedov. He shoots a double leg like he’s about to wrestle this bear for some kind of promo the UFC is going to use throughout his illustrious career.
Not only did he shoot the double, but the form was pretty impressive. When he first got in on the legs, I thought for sure he’d get his hands connected and finish the takedown.
Then he has the wherewithal to realize that there is a giant bench next him that he can use to keep the bear outside. Then he takes a second to give the reaction I imagine most people would.
“Oh my god! I just got attacked by a bear!”
Thankfully, it didn’t appear as if the man or his dogs were injured in the incident. Hopefully this will be the last time he has to attempt to wrestle a bear.
