Good News, Saquon Barkley Doesn’t Want To Burn Down Soldier Field

Every once in a while, questions from NFL reporters become stories of their own. Just this week, Bill Belichick was asked about his New Year’s resolutions shortly after a Patriots loss. That was nothing compared to the doozy we got today.

That’s right, this member of the media in New York had the opportunity to ask Saquon Barkley during a disappointing season and this is what he went with. Many people hit with such an outlandish question would have likely had a bit to say about it, but Saquon responded with a simple “no”.
Personally, I would have enjoyed a little bit more flair from Barkley’s response. He could have least left the possibility that he’d go for option 2 in that question as a touchdown celebration. It could have even been his response to a potential Giants loss.
This Sunday’s game will be Saquon Barkley’s first trip to Soldier Field since tearing his ACL there in Week 2 of last season. The injury cost him the rest of the season and he hasn’t looked the same since the injury. This year he has struggled to make any kind of impact for a struggling Giants offense.
Saquon has yet to break 100 rushing yards in a game this season and has only topped 60 yards once. It’s not a great return on a top 5 pick in the 4th year of his career.
Saquon Barkley certainly hasn’t been lighting the world on fire with his performances lately, but at least we know the same will apply to Soldier Field on Sunday.
