Taylor Swift, JIN, BE:FIRST & Little Mix Make Moves on Hot Trending Songs Chart, Powered by Twitter

BTS’ “Butter” held steady at No. 1 on both the 24-hour and seven-day versions of Billboard’s Hot Trending Songs chart, powered by Twitter, on Friday morning (Nov. 12).

The song spent 10 weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100 and added a second consecutive week atop the latest weekly edition of Hot Trending Songs (dated Nov. 13).

Billboard’s Hot Trending Songs charts, powered by Twitter, track global music-related trends and conversations in real-time across Twitter, viewable over either the last 24 hours or past seven days. A weekly version of the chart, covering activity from Friday to Thursday each week, also posts alongside Billboard’s other weekly charts on Billboard.com each Tuesday. The Hot Trending Songs charts highlight buzz around new releases, award shows, festival moments, music nostalgia and more and are unique in that they track what songs people are talking about, not necessarily what they’re listening to.

Among other tracks making moves on Hot Trending Songs Friday morning, Taylor Swift placed three songs on the 24-hour tally, thanks to conversation leading up to the midnight release of Red (Taylor’s Version), the rerecording of her 2012 LP Red. The title track climbed to No. 2 on the 24-hour ranking, while “All Too Well” and “Begin Again” both reached the top 10.

BTS member JIN climbed into the top 10 of the 24-hour and seven-day charts with his solo track “Yours.” The song was released Nov. 7 on the soundtrack to the South Korean TV series Jirisan.

Japanese group BE:FIRST reached the 24-hour Hot Trending Songs chart with “Gifted.” It’s also the new No. 1 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100.

Plus, British’s Little Mix hit Hot Trending Songs with “Between Us,” the title track from the group’s new greatest hits compilation of the same name, released Friday.

Keep visiting Billboard.com to check out the constantly evolving Hot Trending Songs rankings, and come back Tuesday for the latest weekly chart.
