Adele Sets U.K. TV Concert Special

Adele will give her new album 30 a serious send-off party with a primetime U.K. concert special.

An Audience With Adele will beam out Sunday, Nov. 21 on the free-to-air ITV channel and its on-demand ITV Hub platform.

The one-off concert is captured at the prestigious London Palladium, in the heart of the capital’s West End. According to the broadcaster, fans tuning in will catch Adele performing new songs and classics, before an audience comprised of her “own personal heroes and heroines, fellow musicians, artists, actors, sportsmen, sportswomen and more.”

With her fourth studio album set to drop two days prior, on Nov. 19, ITV’s execs anticipate big things from its Adele special.
“As one of the world’s most in-demand stars, we are beyond thrilled to bring this one-off night to ITV,” comments Katie Rawcliffe, head of entertainment commissioning at ITV. “Adele is a remarkable artist and this will be a very special event.”

International broadcast partners for the TV special have not been announced.

As the release date for 30 draws closers, Adele is flexing on sales charts around the globe.

The first single from it, “Easy On Me,” is currently No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts, and on the Official U.K. Singles Chart, where it broke streaming records in its first week.

Adele wasted no time in claiming this month as her own. On Monday (Nov. 1), she shared the track list for 30, as well as the bonus tracks included on a Target deluxe edition. A week before, Adele announced a pair of 2022 summer concerts at London’s Hyde Park. with pre-sales opening last Thursday (Oct. 28). All tickets for both shows have sold out.

30 is the followup to 2015’s 25, which logged 10 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, won album of the year and best pop vocal album at the 2017 Grammy Awards, and was certified diamond by the RIAA, for combined units of more than 10 million.
