Warriors Veterans Wanted Team To Keep Avery Bradley

Golden State Warriors veterans Stephen Curry and Draymond Green hoped the team would keep Avery Bradley on the opening night roster. Bradley was part of the Warriors round of cuts, as Golden State chose to keep their 15th roster spot open for the time being.

Bradley didn't show much in the preseason, but the Warriors stars weren't worried about the 11-year veteran's ability to produce. At one point in the preseason, there was even a thought that Bradley could start until Klay Thompson returned from injury. The idea was to keep Jordan Poole in the sixth man role, which is where he'll likely play once Thompson returns.

Now, Bradley and fellow guards Mychal Mulder and Gary Payton II are free agents. Mulder is a candidate to return to Golden State to fill their open Two-Way spot. There are rumors Payton could be re-signed to fill the Warriors final roster spot, as well.
