Thunder Waive Rob Edwards, Sign Jaylen Hoard
The Oklahoma City Thunder have waived Rob Edwards. The Thunder re-signed Jaylen Hoard to fill the open roster spot.
Edwards appeared in one preseason game for Oklahoma City. The 6-foot-5 guard scored six points in four minutes. Edwards spent the 2020-21 season with the Thunder's G League team. In the G League bubble, Edwards averaged 12.5 points per game for the Oklahoma City Blue.
Hoard spent the 2020-21 season with the Oklahoma City on a Two-Way contract. The 6-foot-8 forward averaged 6.1 points and 3.4 rebounds in 16.8 minutes per game over 19 contests.
Both Edwards and Hoard are expected to play for the Blue as Affiliate Players this season.
