Doja Cat Hits No. 1 on Hot 100 Songwriters Chart for the First Time

Doja Cat tops Billboard’s Hot 100 Songwriters chart (dated Oct. 16) for the first time, powered by five songwriting credits on the latest Billboard Hot 100.

“Kiss Me More,” featuring SZA, leads at No. 7 (after reaching No. 3 in July), with 61.7 million radio audience impressions, 11.4 million U.S. streams and 2,000 sold in the week ending Oct. 7, according to MRC Data.

Here’s a look at all five of Doja Cat’s writing credits on the current Hot 100.

Rank, Artist Billing, Title (co-writers in addition to Doja Cat)
No. 7, Doja Cat feat. SZA, “Kiss Me More” (SZA, Yeti Beats, Roget Chahayed, tizhimself, Carter Lang, Dr. Luke, Terry Shaddick, Steve Kipner)
No. 13, Doja Cat, “Need to Know” (Dr. Luke)
No. 18, Doja Cat & The Weeknd, “You Right” (The Weeknd, Dr. Luke)
No. 62, Doja Cat, “Woman” (Yeti Beats, Crate Classics, Aynzli Jones, Linden Jay, Jidenna)
No. 85, Doja Cat, “Get Into It (Yuh)” (Y2K, Sully)

Doja Cat is the fourth woman to top Hot 100 Songwriters this year, following Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo and Taylor Swift. Five women led in all of 2020: Swift, Jessica Agombar, Megan Thee Stallion, Stevie Nicks and Tones and I.

Doja Cat also adds a second week at No. 1 on the Oct. 23-dated chart.

On the Hot 100 Producers chart, Dan Nigro tallies a record-extending 26th week at No. 1, thanks to his production on Rodrigo’s “Good 4 U” (No. 6 on the latest Hot 100), “Traitor” (No. 21) and “Deja Vu” (No. 31). He co-produced “Good” with Alexander 23 and solely produced the latter two hits.

The weekly Hot 100 Songwriters and Hot 100 Producers charts are based on total points accrued by a songwriter and producer, respectively, for each attributed song that appears on the Hot 100; plus, genre-based songwriter and producer charts follow the same methodology based on corresponding “Hot”-named genre charts. As with Billboard’s yearly recaps, multiple writers or producers split points for each song equally (and the dividing of points will lead to occasional ties on rankings).
