Taylor Swift jumps from No. 12 to No. 1 on the Billboard Artist 100 chart (dated April 24), reigning as the top musical act in the U.S. for a record-extending 47th week thanks to her new album Fearless (Taylor’s Version).

The set debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 291,000 equivalent album units earned, according to MRC Data, the largest week for any album this year. The LP lands Swift her ninth No. 1, tying Madonna for the second-most among women, after Barbra Streisand’s 11.

Swift also sends nine songs onto the Billboard Hot 100 (with all from her latest LP except her former No. 1 “Willow,” from last year’s Evermore). Here’s a recap.

Hot 100 Rank, Title:
No. 30, “Mr. Perfectly Fine (Taylor’s Version) (From the Vault)”
No. 52, “Love Story (Taylor’s Version)”
No. 62, “Willow”
No. 65, “Forever & Always (Taylor’s Version)”
No. 71, “Fearless (Taylor’s Version)”
No. 72, “You All Over Me (Taylor’s Version) (From the Vault”), feat. Maren Morris
No. 75, “You Belong With Me (Taylor’s Version)”
No. 88, “Fifteen (Taylor’s Version)”
No. 94, “The Way I Love You (Taylor’s Version)”

With 47 weeks atop the Artist 100, dating to the chart’s 2014 inception, Swift extends her record over runner-up Drake (32). The Weeknd (22), BTS (16) and Ariana Grande (15) round out the top five most frequent visitors to the summit.

DMX debuts at No. 2 on the Artist 100, sparked by gains for his catalog in the first full tracking week after his death on April 9. He re-enters three songs on the Hot 100, led by “Ruff Ryders’ Anthem” at No. 16, now the highest-charting song of his career.

DMX also charts three albums on the Billboard 200, paced by The Best of DMX at No. 2 (77,000 equivalent album units, up 544%).

Plus, Polo G surges from No. 51 to No. 6 on the Artist 100, as his new single “Rapstar” launches at No. 1 on the Hot 100, marking his first leader. He peaked at No. 2 on the Artist 100 in May 2020 concurrent with the chart start of his LP The Goat.

The Artist 100 measures artist activity across key metrics of music consumption, blending album and track sales, radio airplay, streaming and social media fan interaction to provide a weekly multi-dimensional ranking of artist popularity.
