Texas Attorney-At-Paw Can’t Turn Off ADORABLE Kitten Filter During Zoom Court Hearing: ‘I’m Not A Cat’

#DmtDaily

The pandemic has exposed a number of eye-opening developments, including the fact that boomers are not being very proficient at technology. Oh boomers, please don’t ever, ever change. Older folks not being able to handle tech was never more evident than a recent Zoom court hearing. And it has never been more adorable either.

We take you to the 394th Judicial District Court in Texas, where lawyer Rod Ponton attempted to present his legal argument during a remote court case. The lawyer logged into the official court case with a kitten filter. Standing before Judge Roy Ferguson, Rod stood tall as a precious cat. Name a cuter lawyer. I’ll wait.

The attorney-at-paw became catatonic as he couldn’t remove the big-eyed kitten filter, which is absolutely adorable. He took a pause as the judge tried to get the case back on track. The video shows H. Gibbs Bauer and Jerry L. Phillip looking as if to say, “Are you kidding me?” Meanwhile, they must have wanted to ask Ponton, “Cat got your tongue?”

“Mr. Ponton, I believe you have a filter turned on in the video settings,” Judge Ferguson said.

“I don’t know how to remove it,” Ponton responded as he had the face of a kitten. “I have my assistant here. She’s trying to but, I’m prepared to go forward with it.”

“I’m here live,” Rod declared on Tuesday. “I’m not a cat.”

“I can see that,” replied Judge Ferguson.

There is an argument for the kitten filter: “How could you possibly rule against that adorable face?”

The good judge remarked on Twitter, “IMPORTANT ZOOM TIP: If a child used your computer, before you join a virtual hearing check the Zoom Video Options to be sure filters are off. This kitten just made a formal announcement on a case in the 394th (sound on). These fun moments are a by-product of the legal profession’s dedication to ensuring that the justice system continues to function in these tough times. Everyone involved handled it with dignity, and the filtered lawyer showed incredible grace. True professionalism all around!”

Enjoy!
