Olivia Rodrigo, Bluey Rule Australia’s Charts

A U.S. teen and an animated blue heeler top Australia’s charts this week, the latter producing a record-setting No. 1.

Olivia Rodrigo, the 17-year-old California singer and actor, speeds to a third week atop the ARIA Singles Chart with “Drivers License,” her official debut release.

Following its win in Triple J’s Hottest 100 countdown, Glass Animals’ “Heat Waves” heats up on the national singles chart. It leaps 11-2, a new peak for the British outfit whose third album Dreamland returns to the ARIA Top 50 this week at No. 22.

Tones And I’s “Fly Away” continues to spread its wings, rising 8-6, a new peak in its fourth week in the Top Ten.

Another track enjoying a boost from Triple J’s annual poll is Spacey Jane’s “Booster Seat,” new at No. 8 for their first appearance in the ARIA chart. The Perth group’s track came in at No. 2 in the Hottest 100, one of four Spacey Jane tracks to crack the countdown.

Meanwhile, Bluey is off the leash on the ARIA Albums Chart as Bluey The Album debuts at No. 1. The soundtrack to the Emmy-winning show becomes the first Australian children’s album to top the ARIA Albums Chart.

Bluey holds off another Aussie artist, The Kid Laroi’s F*ck Love (Savage), up 3-2; while Bring Me The Horizon’s U.K. chart-leader Post Human: Survival Horror soars 124-3 following its all-format release.

The next highest new entry belongs to Northern Ireland electronic outfit Bicep, as Isles starts at No. 12.
