Seventeen Take Over ‘Late Late Show’ With Epic Performance of ‘Home;Run’: Watch

Seventeen made their U.S. TV debut on Wednesday night (Jan. 6) by taking over The Late Late Show with James Corden for a performance of their latest single “Home;Run.”
To kick off their performance, the 13-piece K-pop boy band cleverly invaded the studio by posing as crew members, wearing black t-shirts emblazoned with the late-night show’s logo as they pushed brooms, mops and garbage cans around before breaking out into song.
“Hit ’em up/ When the ball comes to you/ You still have one chance left/ Don’t give up/ Don’t give up/ Na na na na na na na na na/ Okay I pass first, second base/ Step on the third/ Next batter step out/ You know that I believe ya/ Toward the sky/ Give it away, give it away,” the idols sang as they danced and clapped in formation. Following a quick change into sparkling suits and blazers, the number culminated in a swinging dance break, with all 13 members snapping, hopping and swaggering along on the track’s final chorus, ending the song by proclaiming, “Thank you Corden show!” as glittery confetti rained down around them.
“Home;Run” serves as the leadoff track and first single to the K-pop group’s eighth EP, 2020’s ; [Semicolon]. While thus far, its lead single single has climbed to No. 22 on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart, the six-track project arrived just four months after the band’s fellow 2020 studio release, Heng:garæ, which included singles “My My” and “Left & Right.”
