Add Taylor Swift to the list of people thoroughly enjoying Dionne Warwick’s presence on Twitter.
When Swift realized Warwick — whose sharp tweets have been trending over the past week — had reached out to her with kind words (with a little help from their followers), she greeted her just as warmly.
“Okay, what about Taylor Swift? I want to tell her I hope that she’s having a good day and keeping her head high,” Warwick had tweeted on Dec. 3, in search of Swift’s Twitter handle.
When she got the correct name, she wrote, “Hi @taylorswift13. I hope you’re in good spirits and having a wonderful day. Keep your head high!”
By Sunday (Dec. 6), Swift had found Warwick’s nice message and responded with some holiday cheer: “I just saw that you tweeted me!!” Swift replied. “I’m a huge fan and I respect you so much, thank you for wishing me well. I hope you have a wonderful holiday season, thank you for spreading joy.”
“Happy holidays, baby,” Warwick wrote back. “Continue uplifting others with your wonderful spirit.”
