Q: Do two-way nanoparticle chips exist in the COVID vaccine to robotically spy on you? A: No, you fool, they do not

Some social media accounts are posting a disinformation meme that says lipid nanoparticles in the COVID-19 vaccines mean the anti-coronavirus vaccinations contain small robots or computers that transmit your thoughts to George Soros or Bill Gates or whatever.

Here's one example, from an account that posted a disinformation video that has gone widely viral.

This is false – these nanoparticles are tiny lipid droplets that transport and protect the vaccine component.

From a terrific disinformation debunker by Reuters:

The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine uses messenger RNA (mRNA) technology (here).

It uses a chemical messenger to instruct cells to make proteins that mimic the outer surface of the new coronavirus, thereby creating immunity.

The lipid nanoparticles are essentially "delivery vehicles" that protect the mRNA when the vaccine is injected and transport it to the right place in cells (here).

The lipid nanoparticles in the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine protect and transport the vaccine component. They do not contain little computers or robots.
