#Music Less than three weeks before the upcoming election, Ice Cube made his way into the news through politics. On October 13, one of Donald Trump's advisors, Katrina Pierson, revealed online that Cube was working with the current administration's "platinum plan." She praised the MC-turned-mogul's actions:

The perceived alliance raised questions and inspired headlines, condemning the former N.W.A. member and "F*ck Tha Police" author for aligning with the controversial US leader at a time of critical mass, approaching November's election. Cube publicly defended his actions, calling out critics and headlines, while also revealing that his "Contract With Black America" was mutually shopped to Joe Biden's staff as well as Donald Trump's. While Biden's team punted until after the election, Politico reports that Trump's staff was willing to get started now, incorporating undisclosed aspects of Cube's push to inject $500 billion of capital into the Black community. As the movement gained steam—and the Trump Administration touted the alliance to the public—many people condemned the Hip-Hop icon. Once "True To The Game," Cube was suddenly being called a "sellout," something he is keenly aware of.
