‘Ariana Grande For President’: Fans Are Loving the ‘Positions’ Video

Ariana Grande kicked off a new era by releasing the music video for her new single “Positions” on Friday (Oct. 23) and fans can’t get enough of the presidential clip.
Set in the White House, the visual shows what life would be like if the superstar were commander in chief, complete with glam Jackie O-inspired fashions, a diverse cabinet and plenty of late-night pizza-making flanked by her Secret Service detail.
“Positions isn’t just a song, it’s a cultural reset, a reason to breathe, an escape from this cruel world filled with thieves. It’s art, the first gift you open on christmas, a hug from a loved one, everything you’ve ever wanted, everything you need,” one fan wrote after seeing the video, while another summed it up more simply with, “So @ArianaGrande for president” followed by the American flag emoji.
Fellow pop star Faouzia also had thoughts on the video, tweeting, “Omg queen @ArianaGrande did it again. are we surprised? no.” Meanwhile, a Donald Trump parody account ceded the floor to the pop star, cheekily writing, “I am officially resigning as the President of the United States of America. Ariana Grande can have my seat.”
“Positions” serves as Grande’s first solo single since 2019’s Thank U, Next and will be featured on her upcoming sixth studio set, which is expected to drop in exactly one week on Oct. 30. In the interim, she’s kept busy adding to her growing collection of No. 1 hits thanks to high-profile collaborations with both Lady Gaga (“Rain On Me”) and Justin Bieber (“Stuck With U”).
