Kid Rock to Appear at Donald Trump’s Campaign Rally in Michigan

Kid Rock is slated to join President Donald Trump during a campaign event on Monday (Sept. 14) in the country rapper’s native Michigan.
According to the Detroit Free Press, the general admission event will take place at Bumpers Landing Boat Club at 7 p.m., and will mark Trump’s second event in the state in a week. The president held a rally on Thursday at an airport hangar near Saginaw attended by thousands of supporters, who mostly appeared to be ignoring social distancing and mask wearing mandates.
Trump has ramped up his large, in-person campaign events over past two weeks while rival Democratic presidential hopeful Joe Biden has slowly begun to emerge from lockdown to host smaller gatherings that adhere to the recommended CDC safety guidelines in light of what experts predict could be another huge coronavirus spike in the fall with the return of flu season.
Recent Trump events in North Carolina and Nevada were described as potential “superspreader” events, with one George Washington University professor of medicine referring to the indoor Nevada rally on Sunday as “negligent homicide.” The U.S. has passed 6.5 million cases of COVID-19 and is approaching 200,000 deaths to date.
Rock (born Robert Ritchie), who grew up on a lush 5-acre estate in northern Macomb County, Michigan, has been a vocal supporter of the real-estate mogul commander in chief, hitting the links with him last year while wearing American flag pants, visiting the White House early in Trump’s time in office, and hanging with the prez at his Trump International Golf Club in Palm Beach, Fla., earlier this year. While Rock had not mentioned the rally appearance on his social media accounts at press time, Donald Trump Jr. confirmed the news on Monday morning.
It's going to be a fun one in Michigan today with @KidRock and @kimguilfoyle!
