There are coaches who have recently asked players to refrain from fraternizing with opponents as the postseason approaches, sources tell Chris Haynes of Yahoo! Sports. Players have received this directive with mixed reviews.

Coming into the unique situation of the NBA campus following the solidarity shown in the Black Lives Matter movement, there has been an increase in civility and friendship amongst players. For example, players from opposing teams have routinely helped each other up off the floor, which was more rare in the past.

"Man, I'm helping any brother I see on the floor," one player told Yahoo Sports.
