Virtual pop group K/DA, which features characters from battle arena video game League of Legends, have dropped a new single.

“The Baddest” was released today (Aug. 28) with a lyric video, and includes collaborations with Soyeon and Miyeon from K-pop group (G)-IDLE — who K/DA worked with on their 2018 hit “Pop/Stars” — as well as singers Bea Miller and Wolftyla.

K/DA, which features LOL’s Ahri, Kai’Sa, Evelynn and Akali, also plan to release their debut EP on the Riot Games music label later this year.

“Ever since K/DA premiered their explosive track Pop/Stars at the 2018 League of Legends World Championships, fans always ask what’s next for the group,” said Toa Dunn, head of Riot Games music. “We can’t wait for everyone to hear the new track today, followed by the EP later in the year, which is packed with tons of surprises for League of Legends and K/DA fans to enjoy.”

K/DA, which was initially inspired by K-pop and now embraces a more global sound, became a mainstream name when “Pop/Stars” reached the top of iTunes K-pop and Billboard digital charts. The music video for “Pop/Stars” has been viewed over 360 million times on YouTube.

League of Legends surfaced in 2009 as the debut title from Los Angeles-based developer and publisher Riot Games and has gone on to become one of the most played PC games in the world. It is also a key driver in the esports scene.
