Michele Roberts Surprised To See NBA's Plan For Quick Turnaround For 20-21 Season

Michele Roberts expressed concern over the NBA's timeline of opening training camps for the 20-21 season on Nov. 10, which would be less than one month after the proposed end of the 2020 Finals.

"I was surprised to see it," Roberts told ESPN on Thursday night.

Opening night would start on December 1st.

The NBA offseason typically lasts from late June until mid-October.

Changes to the league calendar would be among the many items that have to be collectively bargained with the NBPA.

If the NBA starts the season in early December, it would allow many players to participate in the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, as well as avoid competing against the start of the 2021 NFL season.
