If Not For The Jewish Right In America, Israel Could Never Annex The West Bank DMT.NEWS

Although Jews make up less than two percent of the United States’ population-about five to six million people out of a total population of 350 million, there is a powerful minority of mostly Orthodox or ultra-Orthodox voters who support President Donald Trump and the Republican Party. Most of them are allied with Israel’s right-wing Likud Party of Benjamin Netanyahu who wants to annex the Palestinian West Bank on July 1, but also has sights on other Palestinian territories to transform Israel into “Greater Israel.” Critics warn that such an aggressive move would not only lead to more uprisings and bloodshed but more suffering and resentment among Palestinian Arabs.

The Jewish Right in America

As Israel also celebrates the 72nd anniversary of its independence which occurred in 1948, at the expense of Palestinian independence and statehood, scholars claim that if not for the Jewish Right in America Israel would not have been able to enlarge its state by annexing other parts of Palestinian territories-or maybe even survive. Along with the Jewish Right in America, there have been many other pro-Jewish and authoritarian groups, like the American Israel Public Affairs Committee and Israel (Zionist) Lobby. With their intolerance of homosexuality and abortion, and other insular beliefs that shun against those who do not abide with the strict code of conduct, they have formed strong ties with the Republican Right.

The Trump Administration

The Trump Administration is also undoubtedly influenced by his family. His son-in-law Jared Kushner and daughter Ivanka Trump are not only active members of the Orthodox Jewish organization Chabad, which is a sect of Hasidism, but serve as senior advisors to the president. As adherents to Hasidism, they believe the Jews and the current state of Israel have been chosen by God and that God directly works through historical events, including the Trump Administration. They moreover seek to convert Reform and Humanistic Jews, with high-pressured tactics, who may want to live peaceably with the Palestinians and adhere to a Palestinian State, instead of PM Netanyahu’s one state solution for Israel.

Kingly and Billionaire Archetypes

Something else the Jewish Right has in common with the Trump Administration is that they both see PM Netanyahu and President Trump as an archetype of King Cyrus which delivered the Jews from Babylonian Captivity. Though President Trump does not appear to have strong sympathies with Jews, and has made anti-Semitic statements since coming to office, he appears to be influenced by powerful donors like Sheldon Adelson, a billionaire with strong ties to Israel. In relocating the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem, the president was satisfying other Jewish donors and his Jewish right base while playing to the much larger audience, the Christian Right which consists of Evangelicals and traditional Catholics.

The World According to VP Pence

The most vocal advocate for the Jewish Right is Vice President Mike Pence, a prominent evangelical Catholic. In addition to delivering a speech at the Israeli Knesset when the U.S. Embassy opened, he offered support for a Greater Israel. He, like many others of the Christian Right, wants to make the world safe for a Judeo-Christian faith and to prepare the world for the Second Coming of Christ.

According to the vice president, the key to this Second Coming and a new age under the reign of Christ is the restoration of a Jewish State (Israel) and final battle.

That final battle is an army consisting of Arab Muslims and kings of the east: China and Russia. As a result, he welcomes more bloodshed and wars between Israel and Palestinians.

Fear Mongering and Indoctrination

As PM Netanyahu prepares to annex the most important parts of the Palestinian West Bank, which is filled with Palestinian history and sacred sites, and that was illegally occupied by Israel since the 1967 Israeli-Arab War, both the PM and Jewish Right in America have been indoctrinating the Israelis and Americans through fear mongering with considerable success. They maintain that a Palestinian State in the West Bank will inevitably fall under control of Hamas and pose an existential threat to Israel. This indoctrination is not only meritless but disingenuous as it leaves no room for errors and no recourse for the Palestinians.

In fact, Palestinian land now comprises less than one-third of its original territory and is shrinking daily.

Divine Providence or Act of War?

The Palestinian West Bank is not the only territory threatened by Israeli expansionism. Inside Israel itself Arab lands are stolen and “redeemed” by constructing Jewish settlements on them. In fact, a former Israeli Defense Minister told students of the Haifa Technion School that,

“There is not a single Jewish village in this country that has not been built on the site of an Arab village.” (1)

Critics, in the meantime, claim that the partiality towards what is called the Washington-Israel Axis is so thorough and pervasive between the two that it may be the greatest threat to world peace and stability. If the Palestinian West Bank is annexed on July 1, or a later date, it will be an act of war instead of Divine Providence.

More Blood on Their Hands?

What is more, PM Netanyahu and the Jewish and Christian Right in America will have more blood on their hands, especially since Hamas and other Palestinian resistance groups and uprisings, to the world’s regret, is and always has been their creation.
