Rod Wave Signs Global Co-Publishing Deal With Sony/ATV

Singer, songwriter and rapper Rod Wave has been signed to a worldwide co-publishing deal by Sony/ATV, the publisher announced Monday (May 18). The agreement covers his catalog and future works.
Rod Wave broke through with the single “Heart on Ice,” which rose to No. 25 on the Billboard Hot 100 last month after it went viral on TikTok. His other songs include “Popular Loner” and “Cuban Links” feat. Kevin Gates.
“Rod Wave is a star — his ability to convey unique metaphors about life and love through his songs attracts listeners from all walks of life,” said Sony/ATV manager, creative A&R Brittany Perry in a statement.
Added Sony/ATV chairman and CEO Jon Platt, “Rod Wave has unlimited musical potential and a poetic intensity that connects with fans. We are proud to support his rising career.”
A native of St. Petersburg, Florida, Rod Wave released the mixtape Ghetto Gospel in November and peaked at No. 10 on the Billboard 200 with the set. His debut studio album, Pray 4 Love, debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 in early April, earning over 100 million on-demand streams in its first week.
