PR Veteran Stacey Piggott Launches New Agency Daydream Nation

#Music

Veteran Australian music industry PR and crisis communications professional Stacey Piggott today unveils her new company, Daydream Nation.

Based in Melbourne, the new boutique publicity and marketing agency will hone-in on music, entertainment, digital strategy, crisis management, commercial brands, events and more.

Joining Piggott at Daydream Nation is a triumvirate of former Secret Sounds/Secret Sounds employees in head Of marketing Alycia Emmerson (former marketing & communications manager at Secret Sounds); senior account director Shari Hindmarsh (former senior publicist at Secret Service Public Relations); and publicist Parisse Toledo (former publicist at Secret Service Public Relations).

Piggott, director of Daydream Nation, has 21 years’ experience in PR, including 15 years heading up her own agency, Two Fish Out Of Water. In 2014, Two Fish Out Of Water merged with Paul Piticco’s Secret Service PR, creating the powerhouse publicity agency SSPR.

Daydream Nation emerges from the embers of SSPR, a casualty of the coronavirus pandemic.

Piggott and her team have worked on a staggering lineup of festivals, tours and campaigns over the years, including The Falls Music & Arts Festival, Yours & Owls Festival, Download Festival, and tours for the likes of Live Nation, Billions, Select Music, Village Sounds, WME and others.

Clients have included Pandora, Billabong, Jack Daniels, Telstra and Ben Sherman, and recording artists Lewis Capaldi, The 1975, Henry Rollins, Liam Gallagher, Lana Del Rey and Blur, to name a handful.

“We are really excited to bring Daydream Nation and our collective creative services to the entertainment industry,” says Piggott in a statement. “We are thrilled to be able to offer a team that can roll out comprehensive and cohesive PR and Marketing campaigns under the one roof for our clients. Alycia, Shari and I have been working closely together on campaigns for years now, so close we sometimes finish each other’s sentences, we know what the other is thinking before they speak. And Parisse fits perfectly into this well-oiled machine.”

Over the years, the team has lent time and resources to manage pro bono PR and marketing strategy for such social justice campaigns and charity events as Wave Aid, SLAM Day, Your Choice, Don’t Kill Live Music and Make It Rain.

“We all take joy in giving back to our community too,” reads a statement unveiling the new business.
