Official HIGE DANdism’s “I LOVE…” logs its seventh week at No. 1 on the latest Billboard Japan Hot 100, dated May 4 to 10, leading look-ups and video views for the fourth and 11th week in a row, respectively.

The track that put a halt to the song’s 12-week streak at No. 1 for streaming is Eito’s “Kousui,” the TikTok-generated hit that broke into the top 10 last week. The 22-year-old indie artist’s acoustic ballad soared to 6,137,861 streams from 4,273,162 last week, while also rising from 3,066,279 to 4,273,162 video views (No. 7) and from 2,940 to 5,270 units in downloads (No. 13).

“Kousui,” which means “perfume” in English, climbs 5-3 on the Japan Hot 100, overtaking the long-running hit “Pretender” by HIGE DAN.

The difference in total points from LiSA’s “Gurenge” at No. 2 to “Pretender” at No. 4 is only about 200, so how “Kousui” performs in the coming weeks will greatly affect the upper ranks of the Japan Hot 100 as the chart enters the second half of 2020.

Hikaru Utada’s “Time” debuts at No. 7 on the tally, topping downloads this week with 32,396 units and marking a huge 13,000-unit difference between the song at No. 2 for the metric, LiSA’s “Gurenge.” Utada is set to drop another single at the end of the month called “Darenimo iwanai” — already being featured in Suntory’s mineral-water commercial — which is also expected to hit the Japan Hot 100 after its release.

Aimyon’s “Hadaka no kokoro” jumps from No. 20 to No. 9 this week, leading radio airplay and coming in at No. 4 for downloads and No. 13 for streaming. While the new single ranked higher this week than the young singer-songwriter’s former No. 1 hit song “Marigold,” the latter and “Harunohi” are regaining strength in downloads and streaming due to their exposure in Kirin’s alcoholic-beverage commercials. The three songs are definitely influencing each other and fueling the chart performance of “Hadaka no kokoro” in particular.

The Billboard Japan Hot 100 combines physical and digital sales, radio airplay, Twitter mentions, YouTube and GYAO! video views, Gracenote look-ups, audio streams from Amazon Music Unlimited, Apple Music, AWA, Google Play Music, KKBOX, LINE MUSIC, Rakuten Music, RecMusic provided by Gfk Japan, dHits, Uta Pass and Spotify, plus karaoke data from Daiichikosho and XING (excluded until further notice).
