The Safdie bros are selling limited edition Uncut Gems art for COVID-19 aid

#DmtDaily

In times of crisis, it often isn’t the government we look to for help. When Australia was burning back in January, it wasn’t the president who offered support, but a group of sex workers who sold their nudes to raise money for victims. Now, as we face the coronavirus pandemic, artists are coming forward to help, with the Safdie brothers and Petra Collins being among those selling prints to help people affected by the virus.

The prints are available on Dream Sequence Editions, which is selling works to raise money for charities, including those that help artists, stop people going hungry, and free people from jail by paying their bail.

The Safdie brothers are selling a limited edition signed print from their Adam Sandler-starring 2020 film, Uncut Gems, with 100 per cent of the proceeds going to charity. Collins is selling an unpublished 2019 contact sheet print called Kiko, Busy Corner, of which $50 from each sale will be donated. Other artists include skateboarder and photographer Jerry Hsu, Jason Nocito, and the site’s founder, Tim Barber.

Dream Sequence Editions will release a new print by a new artist each week, with each being sold at $100. Browse the prints here.
