Shakira kicked off the Super Bowl LIV halftime show on Sunday (Feb. 2) in the most fitting way possible: Declaring her hips don't lie.
The Colombian superstar was the first to take the stage before her halftime compadre Jennifer Lopez joined, starting out with her howling hit "She Wolf." Following an explosion of fireworks atop Hard Rock Stadium, Shakira roared into "She Wolf" before whipping out an electric guitar for her anthemic 2014 single "Empire."
Shak then smoothly transitioned into her 2001 Hot Latin Songs No. 1 "Whenever, Wherever" -- after shaking her hips in her sparkly red crop top and skirt ensemble -- before Bad Bunny joined her for his J Balvin and Cardi B collab "I Like It." But, of course, Shakira couldn't leave the stage before rocking her Billboard Hot 100-topping smash "Hips Don't Lie."
Before the game began, Shakira shared her excitement for the halftime show in an Instagram story. “I want this to be a big celebration and a big party. An inclusive party," she said. "I want to inspire many men and women and Latinos and people around the world to dream as big as they can."
