Dominick Reyes proved to be a worthy contender when he took light heavyweight champion Jon Jones to five rounds at UFC 247.

Reyes made the fight extremely competitive but eventually gassed out in the later rounds. Jones went on to win the fight on the scorecards but many felt Reyes had done enough in the first three rounds to win the fight.

I had Reyes in the first three rounds. Credit to Jones on coming on strong 4th and 5th but I would of guessed Reyes won that fight on scorecards.

Not robbery. Close fight, could have gone either way. 3-1 or 2-2 going into 5th. I thought 3-2 Reyes but the fight was so close it could have gone either way.

My take: Reyes won the first two. The 3rd was very tight, but maybe Reyes edged it. Jones clearly won the final two rounds by country miles. Jones had takedowns, Reyes didn't.
49-46 in Jones' favour is awful from one judge. Still, a Jones win is a fair call to me. #UFC247
