Super Junior Release Smooth 'I Think I' Video Ahead Of Upcoming Album: Watch

10/4/2019 by Tamar Herman

K-pop boy band Super Junior released their new song “I Think I” today (Oct. 4).

The song features a groovy, Latin-pop-inspired melody full of jazzy strings, rhythmic percussion, and bright horns over which the members of the group harmoniously croon and rap about how they want to dance. It was released alongside a music video -- which was released several hours after it was previously planned to be shared, allegedly due to production delays-- that features Super Junior charismatically roaming through a facsimile of New York City’s 14th Street subway station, though only showcases minimal choreography for a track focused on dancing.

A nearly 15-year-old act in the K-pop industry, Super Junior has incorporated Latin pop sounds into its recent discography, and worked with the likes of Leslie Grace and Reik last year.

“I Think I” is the third track released prior to Super Junior’s upcoming Time Slip album, set to be out on Oct. 14. It was preceded by the September releases of “Somebody New”, which was revealed through a music video that showed behind-the-scenes videos of the members of the group, and “The Crown,” shared a special lyric video.

Time Slip marks the return of the group’s youngest member and one of their primary vocalists, Cho Kyuhyun, from the military, returning Super Junior to its primary lineup after a series of departures and hiatuses of the once double-digit boy band.

The new album will be fronted by the single “Super Clap,” also set to be released on Oct. 14. It’ll be preceded by the launch of the group’s Super Show 8 world tour, which will kick off in Seoul on Oct. 12 and 13.
