See DaBaby's Reaction to Earning His First No. 1 Album On Billboard 200 With 'Kirk'

DaBaby notched his first No. 1 album in the country for last week when it was announced on Sunday (Oct. 6) that Kirk topped the Billboard 200 with 145,000 equivalent album units sold. The Charlotte native took some time to reflect before posting his sincere reaction to all of his winning on Monday morning (Oct. 7).
"When I got the news I took my time letting it sink in cause this one different," he wrote. "Google me and see what I done been through in the past 12 months. Then ask yourself how da fuck I’m STILL standing on all Ten. Blood, Sweat, & Tears for it. The world ain’t never seen a n---a like me win. GOD is GREAT WHATS NEXT? My last name #KIRK n---a."
Tragedy struck in the midst of Baby's rise when he found out that his father unexpectedly passed away in Nashville earlier this year on the same day "Suge" would end up topping the Apple Music charts, where he's been a staple for much of 2019. The self-proclaimed Billboard Baby also landed six placements on the Hot 100 last week, and that's prior to the rest of Kirk having its shot to boost those stats.
