Werner Herzog’s voice, whether it’s narrating a documentary about volcanoes or riffing about what you’ll find in the eye of a chicken (“bottomless stupidity, a fiendish stupidity”, btw), is iconic. Outside his own films though, his deliberate German tone works equally well as that of a villain, which is why he’s a great (if unexpected) pick for a character on the new Star Wars show, The Mandalorian.
