The diva literally passes the torch to the cowboy rapper in a perfect tweet.

We stan a gracious diva.

On Monday (July 29) -- the same day Lil Nas X's "Old Town Road," featuring Billy Ray Cyrus, officially became the longest-running Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 single of all time -- Mariah Carey took to Twitter to congratulate the cowboy rapper for breaking her long-standing chart record.

"Sending love & congrats to @LilNasX on breaking one of the longest running records in music history!" Carey tweeted, alongside an illustration of her literally passing the torch to Lil Nas X. "We've been blessed to hold this record with a song that means a great deal to @BoyzIIMen and myself and has touched so many. Keep living your best life!"

Before "Old Town Road" logged its 17th week at the top of the chart, Carey teamed up with Boyz II Men for the 1995 duet "One Sweet Day," which spent a then-record-setting 16 weeks at No. 1. Fast-forward to 2017 when another cultural phenomenon -- Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's bilingual megahit "Despacito," featuring Justin Bieber -- tied Carey and the Boyz with 16 weeks up top.

On Monday, Lil Nas X rode a string of successful remixes and music videos all the way to 17 weeks at the summit -- so far.
