'Baby Shark' Cereal to Be Launched by Kellogg's
“Baby Shark” will soon be coming to a cereal bowl near you.
Kellogg's announced Friday (July 26) that the a cereal inspired by Pinkfong's infectious kids song will be available in select U.S. stores beginning in August.
"The 'berry fin-tastic' flavored rings are floating with marshmallows (not shark shaped, but that would be cool) and deliver a delicious splash of flavor that doesn’t miss the boat," a spokesperson for Kellogg's told Today Food.
The "Baby Shark" cereal will go on sale exclusively at Sam's Club on Aug. 17 for $5.98 per box. It will then be released in Walmart stores in late September. The cereal will be available in stores for a limited time, the Kellogg's rep told Today.
“Baby Shark” wiggled its way onto computer screens around the world in 2015, and has garnered more than three billion views thanks to a viral dance challenge. The song from South Korean firm SmartStudy, the entertainment company behind children’s content brand Pinkfong, peaked at No. 32 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
The kids viral sensation -- which was covered by numerous K-pop stars and other famous artists -- will launch a 100-date North American tour in the fall.
