PornHub Wants To Buy Tumblr & Bring Back NSFW Content
Tumblr's been taking some financial L's after announcing that they'd be removing NSFW content from their platform. Over the years, the social media platform has been popular among young women and the LGBTQ+ community but they've seen a decline on the site since they banned adult content. But all of that could change very soon as one of the biggest porn companies is plotting on acquiring the site.

Buzzfeed received confirmation from PornHub's Vice President Corey Price who said that the porn-streaming company is "extremely interested" in purchasing the company. He said if they were to acquire Tumblr, their primary focus would be to reinstate adult content on their website off the top.
"Tumblr was a safe haven for those who wanted to explore and express their sexuality, adult entertainment aficionados included," Price said. "We’ve long been dismayed that such measures were taken to eradicate erotic communities on the platform, leaving many individuals without an asylum through which they could comfortably peruse adult content."
Tumblr was bought out by Yahoo, which is now a part of Verizon Media Group, in 2013 for $1.1B. However, the acquisition may have not been the best idea. According to the Wall Street Journal, the blogging platform has been having trouble meeting their revenue targets. With PornHub's desire to buy it out, maybe this will help revive the niche social media platform.
