Parisian Tourist Spot Gets Flooded With ‘Blood’ By Feverish Environmentalists

While several tourist highlights have been damaged by the hands of visitors, a highly frequented spot in Paris was tainted by locals, if only for awhile.
The stairs of the Trocadero in Paris, which overlook the Eiffel Tower, were left “bloodied” by a group of environmental activists called the Extinction Rebellion, who spilled 300 liters (79 gallons) of fake blood on the steps on Sunday to protest the “sixth mass extinction.”
According to a recent report by the United Nations, one million of Earth’s eight million animal and plant species are being threatened with extinction.
The environmentalists—who set up the organization in 2018 to protest environmental threats—thus poured the red mixture, made with cornflour and food coloring, onto the steps to illustrate the loss of these lives, before cleaning up the stain.
Tourists looked on in horror at what could be described by Les Misérables as the “blood of angry men.”
