Met Gala 2019 Pink Carpet: Every Menswear Look You Need to See

The Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala (a.k.a. the Met Gala) is functionally a fundraiser for the museum's Costume Institute but culturally, it's become the most-watched red carpet on planet Earth. A lot of that has to do with the guest list—a tightly curated mix of A-list-only talent from every corner of the entertainment, fashion, and sports worlds—but most of it has to do with what those ultra famous folks show up wearing. Sometimes they're on point with the theme of that year's exhibition (witness Chadwick Boseman's epic papal Versace moment last year for Heavenly Bodies), sometimes they're wildly off the mark (see: George Clooney's tie-free fit in 2015), and sometimes they're just wild (robo-arm Zayn). This year's "Camp" theme was bound to bring out some next-level menswear but even we didn't expect to see outfits this turbo. Harry Styles wore a sheer jumpsuit. Jared Leto carried his own head. And red carpet legend Billy Porter dressed as a hybrid of the Egyptian sun god Ra, Elizabeth Taylor-as-Cleopatra, and an extravagant candelabra. Here's every campy, crazy, and just damn good fits from this year's pink carpet.
