Billy McFarland Wants To Bring Back Fyre Festival
With a couple of Fyre Festival documentaries being uploaded to streaming services earlier this year, Billy McFarland wants to tell his side of the story. The man most famous for organizing one of the biggest festival fails of all time is currently serving time in prison but when he gets out, he's thinking of trying to spark Fyre a second time.

As reported by The Fader, Billy McFarland is writing a book about his experiences organizing Fyre Festival and the backlash he's since received. The piece of literature was scheduled to be self-published in April but it still hasn't hit the market. Titled Promythus: The God of Fyre, McFarland wrote the book to fight back against the two documentaries that make him look like a fraud. According to Josh Raab, a freelance editor who worked on the book, McFarland doesn't believe that the docs captured the "raw story" of the festival. He apparently hand-wrote 800 pages that chronicle his career from 2011 to the moment the FBI showed up at his doorstep when the festival broke down.
Speaking with Raab, McFarland reportedly said that the second edition of Fyre Festival is on the way. "[T]he Festival will not be a one and done event — it’s happening again," he wrote to Raab. At this point though, who would willingly pay thousands of dollars for something that turned out to be the laughing stock of the internet for years.
