2DopeRadio: Salute to Busta Rhymes

Busta Rhymes is, in this writer’s opinion, one of the greatest rappers of all time. And if he wasn’t known more for his flamboyant, off-the-wall music videos and colorful personality, he may very well have been considered in everyone’s Top 10 (at the very least).
Despite sometimes coming across as rap’s happy-go-lucky, way-too-much-energy-having class clown, Busta’s albums were loaded with lyrically dense street tales and apocalyptic inclinations. Yes, he may have parodied Coming To America, Rush Hour and Lethal Weapon in his videos, but there wasn’t anything funny about cuts like “A Trip out of Town,” “The Heist” or “Goldmine.”
Hence, this episode of 2DopeRadio is dedicated to Bussa Bus.
Rather than a mix of his most popular and hit songs, I spotlighted some of my personal favorite moments from the rapper. Busta is one of the rare musicians to have worked with Dr. Dre, J Dilla, The Neptunes, Timbaland, Alchemist, Eminem, the Wu-Tang Clan, Q-Tip, Nas, Stevie Wonder, Janet Jackson, Rick James, Diddy, Westside Gunn, Conway and Roc Marciano (among countless others), so this episode highlights some of those moments and then some.
